The Epic Games Store has recently added the blockchain-based collectible card game Gods Unchained to its range.
Daniel Paez, executive producer of the Gods Unchained project, said that the addition of their collectible card game to the Epic Games Store is a testament to the advancement of Web3 gaming to a wider audience.
The Immutable platform was responsible for developing the game, which had accumulated $200 million in March 2023 with a valuation of $2.5 billion.
According to Daniel Paez,
"Gods Unchained is one of the few blockchain games owned by an established company with sufficient financial backing. We have reached a crucial stage in our development, and the next six months promise to be some of the most exciting ever."
He said that the game team is currently building internal control systems as well as exploring prospective amendments to the financial model.
Recall that Immutable teamed up with Polygon in March to accelerate the development and adoption of Web3 games. As part of the deal, they will take advantage of that project's Proof of concept technology, which is not subject to disclosure.
Earlier, Immutable introduced a cryptocurrency wallet specifically designed for gamers on the blockchain. The Passport project is also used to manage and verify a player's profile.
