In Latin America, where devaluation and inflation are rampant, more and more people are turning to cryptocurrency as a way of saving. According to a survey conducted by Bain & Company, 23% of those surveyed in Chile preferred cryptocurrency as an investment option for 2022,which is the third most popular choice. Investment funds topped the list with 36% of votes, while real estate ranked second with 24%. This shows that digital currencies are quickly becoming more and more popular due to their potential for high profitability. Bain Chile's Marcial Rapela commented on the survey results, saying that while people still prefer traditional investments such as stocks and bonds (which received 21% and 19% of votes, respectively), cryptocurrency is becoming a viable option.
