Canon Corporation's US division has announced its intentions to create its own NFT-marketplace, Cadabra, on the Ethereum blockchain. The company promises to be committed to photography, and all related areas, as a true business leader. It also promises to introduce Web3 technologies and other unique benefits for its customers.

Cadabra will become the brand name for the tokenised photo platform. It is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2023 and its initial version of the marketplace will be presented at the NFT event in New York.

The Cadabra Marketplace will introduce images from several genres, such as wildlife, sports, lifestyle and landscapes. It will provide both new collections of tokenised photos as well as existing NFTs, and will also allow artists to offer physical copies of images that Canon will be able to print. Cadabra will initially be available exclusively in the US. This marketplace platform will offer users the option to pay with traditional money and digital currency.

It was recently announced that Amazon plans to introduce an NFT-marketplace on April 24. Reportedly, US citizens will initially have access to 15 collections, and the initiative will eventually be extended to other countries.

In April, Gala Music also offered a unique edition of David Bowie's 'Let's Dance' album as a limited edition NFT compilation.
