Near Foundation, the non-profit organisation working on the blockchain platform NEAR, has announced a partnership with Alibaba Cloud, the computing and storage division of the Chinese technology giant. The partnership aims to promote Web3 in Asia and the Middle East.
This will allow the NEAR Foundation platform to access Alibaba Cloud computing in these regions and enable more developers to build blockchain-based solutions. Furthermore, those who want to launch new validators for NEAR will be able to take advantage of Plug and Play (PnP) from Alibaba Cloud infrastructure.
Joseph Tsai was previously appointed chairman of Alibaba; he has invested heavily in Web3 projects. In light of this news, NEAR prices have risen by 8% and continue to rise.
