The Kraken exchange froze the funds of the bankrupt FTX and Alameda in accordance with the requirements of law enforcement.

The story around the bankrupt enterprises of Sam Bankman-Fried — FTX and Alameda Research — continues to develop. The Kraken cryptocurrency exchange has frozen the accounts of FTX Group, Alameda Research and their management.

The blocking occurred after Kraken's consultations with law enforcement officers. In its Twitter , the exchange explains:

“Kraken spoke with law enforcement agencies about several accounts belonging to the bankrupt FTX Group, Alameda Research and their executives. These accounts have been frozen to protect their creditors.”

Meanwhile, the funds of other customers were not affected. The company recalled that its reserves are fully supported.

The collapse of FTX led to a chain reaction in the crypto industry. Earlier it became known that due to the difficulties of FTX and Alameda, the BlockFi and Celsius services were under threat. In addition, attention is focused on the Binance exchange, which uses a similar scheme to FTX reserves.
