The Opera crypto browser will allow users to access a collection of multichain NFT, DEX, cross-chain bridges, asset exchanges, as well as the ability to place bets and lend their cryptocurrency.
Opera Crypto Browser, a Web3-focused project to facilitate navigation through decentralized applications (dApps), games and metaverse platforms, has announced a partnership with Coin98, a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform based in Southeast Asia, to increase Web3 accessibility.
After Coin98 integration, Opera crypto browser users will be able to use a number of multi-chain non-fungible tokens (NFT), decentralized exchanges (DEX), cross-chain bridges and asset exchanges, as well as the ability to place bets and provide their cryptocurrency portfolios.
Given the reputation of Southeast Asia as a center of online technologies — with the largest number of Internet users in the world — and a region with a growing young population and an increasingly active crypto community, cooperation can bring the Opera crypto browser one step closer to its goal of promoting the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies and Web3. Commenting on the development, Susie Batt, head of Opera's crypto ecosystem, said:
"With over 340 million users worldwide, it is imperative that we encourage mass adoption by providing products and services that everyone can use.”
Opera has been a prominent figure in the cryptocurrency industry for some time, and it was the first major browser to accept bitcoin (BTC) payments in 2019. In January 2022, Opera launched the Crypto Browser project, a Web3-focused initiative designed to simplify the search for dApps, games and metaverse platforms.
