In the last day, a sharp drop in trading volumes on spot cryptocurrency exchanges has been recorded. Analysts attributed this to the minimal market volatility recorded in recent days, as well as the upcoming holidays. A significant decrease in indicators was noted on almost all leading trading platforms.

Thus, the world's main crypto exchange Binance processed transactions with virtual assets worth only $6.41 billion over the past 24 hours, as of 12:00 Moscow time on December 22, 2022. This indicator fell by 29.7% compared to yesterday's data. Transactions were available in 1661 pairs with 384 cryptocurrencies.

On the American platform Binance.US, this indicator fell by 39% altogether, ending up at $124.76 million. The popular trading platform Coinbase has also recorded a significant decrease in the volume of transactions with digital assets over the past 24 hours. This value was fixed at $837.26 million or 31.39% less than yesterday. Users made transactions in the 601st pair with 237 virtual currencies.

The South Korean Bithumb exchange has become almost the only one of the major platforms on which the opposite trend has been noted. Clients of this platform executed transactions in the amount of $ 158.46 million, which is 12.8% more than in the previous day.

The bitcoin (BTC) cryptocurrency exchange rate has hardly changed in the last 24 hours. The value of digital gold decreased by 0.13% and amounted to $16,841, and the market capitalization was fixed at $324.07 billion. Daily trading volumes were $13.97 billion.
