Lamborghini-GT racing team will use NFT to control car parts

Vincenzo Sospiri Racing (VSR), the GT racing team backed by Lamborghini Motorsports, has announced its partnership with the Go2NFT platform to launch a racing car parts certification program.

Former racing champion Vincenzo Sospiri of VSR mentioned that their team will create an NFT certification for their racing cars using Go2NFT and the Skey Network blockchain platform.

“It is a big liability to be responsible for the safety and authenticity of our racing park to control performance.”

In addition to automotive parts, VSR also plans to extend the NFT certification program to official merchandise and other products. According to the team, this will give fans confidence buying branded merchandise.

Boris Ejsymont, chief executive of Go2NFT, noted that their team understands the challenges that brands face. Here it comes to protecting their intellectual property and they believe that NFT can provide a solution. Ejsymont said:

“We believe the NFT utility can help create more trust and transparency for brands and their fans. This project with VSR is just the beginning of many similar collaborations for beloved brands around the world.”

The world of racing and crypto successfully collided in 2022. Back in February, Formula 1 racing team Red Bull Racing entered into a $150 million partnership with crypto exchange platform Bybit. Bybit founder Ben Zhou said the partnership allowed his team to connect with people who are new to the crypto space.

In March, Crypto.com partnered with the Aston Martin Formula 1 team. As part of the deal, F1 brand cars will display ads for the exchange. Jefferson Slack, chief executive of Aston Martin, noted that the move allows the car maker to better understand the crypto space.
